Bigfingers & Bigcreeps! |
|
Hello there! So you’d like to know more about us, eh? Read on... We’ve always been fans of x-creatures, and when we moved to Portland, OR in 2006, Gary came up with a wacky and wonderful idea. Let’s make bigfoot finger puppets! A prototype was put together, and soon we expanded to making the bigfoot, skunk ape and yeti puppets and plush you see here today. We hope they bring joy and fun into the world! When not making Bigfeet & Bigcreeps Jenn is a visual artist working in video installation, drawing and mixed media and Gary is a technophile always on the lookout for gadgets that make life easier, shiner and brighter. Somewhat like the mysterious beasties we make, we can be shy and elusive. However, there is always a chance that you’ll spot us out and about in the wilds of the Pacific Northwest.

We’re excited to report that in the summer of 2008 the Smithsonian contacted us to participate in the annual Smithsonian Folklife Festival. One of the 3 featured countries at the festival was Bhutan and we made a pile of yetis as well as many, many finger puppets to join in the celebration. Happily all of our Bigfingers and Bigcreeps SOLD OUT making for a huge success!
Many thanks to the Smithsonian, and to all those who bought our beasties and are giving them happy homes! |
